Trade In - (Subscription to Subscription)
A trade in, where a current platform that is on a subscription is traded in for another platform that is also on a subscription.
The current platform's subscription is canceled and it's debtor-ID is applied to the new platform's subscription.
1. | In Chrome, select a customer (from left menu - choose a shop for a Business subscription, or a technician for an Individual subscription (this should match the customer for the platform being traded in)), and then select the ‘Order’ icon to start a Customer Order. |
2. | Select ‘Subscription (SUB) nnnnnnn’ where ‘nnnnnnn’ is the Debtor ID associated with the platform being traded in and then select Yes. |
3. | Select “SUBSCRIPTION” promo, then the “OK” button, and then the “ScanBay” button. |
4. | Select the applicable platform family, then the “Next” button. |
5. | Connect the platform using USB, then select the “Next” button. |
6. | Select “Next” to continue. |
7. | Depending on what was selected earlier, choose “Next” to continue for an Individual Subscription, or a Business Subscription. |
8. | Selects “Next” to continue. |
9. | Selects “Next” to continue. |
10. | Selects “Next” to continue. |

11. | Select one or more ‘Optional Accessories’ and then select “Next”. |
This screen only displays for platforms & bundles where optional accessories are available.
12. | Select “Finish” to close ScanBay and then select “Print Contract”. |
13. | The subscription application displays. |
14. | Enter the customer's signature and select Print Submit. |
The platform is now enrolled and the subscription application is now a legally binding contract. Only Snap-on Credit may modify the subscription contract once they receive the subscription data.
15. | Select “Complete Order” . |
16. | Choose to print and/or email the order and then select “OK”. |
When the traded in platform has current software, skip past each ‘BUNDLE UPGRADE’ screen.
17. | Select “Next” to continue. |
18. | Select “Next” to start the bundle upgrade |
ScanBay delivers the bundle upgrade, displaying a progress bar throughout the process.
19. | Select “Next” to continue, when the upgrade completes |
20. | Choose to either: |
● | connect the traded-in platform, or |
● | end the transaction without connecting it |
then select “Next” for the applicable TRADE-IN COMPLETION scenario (A to I, as shown below).

( E - TRADE-IN COMPLETION): Any Windows platform traded for a Windows platform with legacy software:

( G - TRADE-IN COMPLETION): Any Windows platform traded for a Non- Windows platform with legacy software:
( H - TRADE-IN COMPLETION): Any Windows platform traded for a Non- Windows platform with current software:
( I - TRADE-IN COMPLETION): Any trade-in where the traded unit isn’t processed

21. | Select “Yes” to confirm that the traded unit is not to be processed. |

The subscription process is now completed and the related part numbers are on the Customer Order (invoice).
